Working with the Addicted Client 11th May 2019

1 in 10 people in the UK are living with an addiction. Addicted clients are often in denial about the full impact of their behaviours on their families, friends and colleagues. Working with clients who have an addiction can be frustrating and confusing for therapist and client alike.

This CPD workshop will give you essential information on how to work effectively to support the client to come to terms with how they use substances or behaviours to support themselves and will see addiction as it manifests in the family system. Putting addictions in context helps to minimise the scapegoating effect which is common when dealing with the addicted client and helps to build appropriate support systems for the client.

Rachel Young has been working with addicted clients for the last 20 years. Her experience in this field gives her a unique perspective and way of working which is very effective.
