I am a qualified Counsellor working at The Banbury Therapy Centre. My previous experience has been working in local authorities and within corporate environments. In these 25 years providing help and support for people in times of need, I have come to understand the importance of building genuine, caring relationships. I draw on all these experiences now, as a qualified, Registered, Person Centred Counsellor to offer empathy and compassion to my clients at a time you may or may not know what you want from Counselling. You may wish to deal with something that is happening in your life now, or from your past. You may feel something doesn’t ‘fit’ or that you are not satisfied with life. Every client is unique, some may function well but are, underneath, sad or angry and this could be affecting your relationships or work, or your ability to find joy in life.
If you are struggling with:
· Low mood, anxiety or depression
· Loss of self-esteem or confidence
· Loss of trust in yourself or others
· Loss of identity or purpose
· Change or uncertainty
I can offer you a safe space:
· To be yourself fully, raising your self-awareness
· To explore who you are and what you need
· To look at difficult feelings
· To build a non-judgemental, empathic, therapeutic relationship
I work in Private Practice as a Counsellor, alongside my Family Work for schools. My normal hours are Tuesday and Friday mornings 9-1pm, but appointments may be available at other times by arrangement. My hourly rate is £50. I do offer a concessionary place.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work to their Ethical Framework at all times.
Tuesdays 9-1pm and 5-9pm
