BA (Hons) Psychology,
Level 5 Dip. Psychotherapeutic Counselling,
I am a qualified Counsellor working from the Banbury Therapy Centre. I can offer you a safe place where you can say the unsaid, explore difficult feelings, complex or unfathomable situations and relationships.
I can help you to see who you are, your strengths and defences. Through a developing trusting relationship, I can share insight into how you see yourself, how I see you and how others may perceive you.
We can explore your past and present experience of the world, looking at repeating and unhelpful patterns of behaviour. Together we can look at who and where you are and opportunity for change.
I work in Private Practice and I am also a Volunteer for a Bereavement Service, offering counselling support for those who have experienced the death of someone close, often in complex and traumatic circumstances. Some of my areas of experience and interest are:
· Bereavement and loss
· Miscarriage, abortion, termination
· Isolation and loneliness
· Suicide and self-harm
· Internal conflicts
· Difficult relationships
· Family issues
· Workplace issues and stress
· Loss of identity and purpose in life
As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work to their Ethical Framework which guides me to work safely and ethically within a counselling relationship. I attend regular Clinical Supervision to safeguard my practice as well as professional development days to enhance my skills and maintain my professional standards.
My fees are £45 for 50 minutes. I am available at the Banbury Therapy Centre on Fridays 5pm - 9pm and Saturdays 9am - 1pm. Other times maybe available on request.
