Debbie Inkpen Integrative Counsellor
Hello and welcome to my counselling profile
I am an integrative counsellor who predominantly works in the person-centred approach to enable you to talk freely about any issues and concerns from the past, present or future that may be affecting you.
Everyday life can feel stressful at times. This in turn can create thoughts and feelings which may lead to anxiety, worry and depression all of which can affect our mood and the way in which we go about our daily lives. These stresses can occur from a variety of life experiences such as relationships, home life, work life and how we view ourselves.
I can offer you a safe, confidential and calm space for you to talk and be listened to in a non-judgemental way, giving you the opportunity to work through, in your own time and pace, whatever it is that may be troubling you. My aim is to work with you to help you make sense of difficult feelings and unhelpful ways of thinking in order to help you move towards finding your own solutions. I aim to work sensitively, creatively and intuitively with you as a way of enabling opportunity for change to develop and to help empower you to find your own autonomy in your daily life.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework which I use as a guide to work safely and ethically within my counselling practice. I regularly undertake and update my CPD (Continued Professional Development) in order to inform my work.
I have Professional Civil Liability insurance
