Asking for help is hard but counselling has the benefit of providing you with a safe and confidential space where you can explore and express (maybe for the first time) the origins of your distress. Some clients seek therapy because of a specific issue but for many there is often a feeling of being “out of sorts” or feeling low for no apparent reason and no amount of will power or “getting a grip” makes a difference.

My way of working is two-fold; psychodynamic (or traditional therapy) to uncover any underlying (unconscious) reasons for our feelings, thoughts and behaviours and cognitive (CBT) to re-write the unhelpful internal scripts and beliefs we have lived by.

Some of the issues I can help you with include:

·      Relationships (personal and workplace related)

·      Low Esteem, Depression, Anxiety

·      Relationship issues

·      Lack of motivation or purpose

·      Bereavement and loss

·      Sexual abuse (historic or current)
