Free Assessment Service
If you have made the decision to seek counselling support you have taken a positive step towards caring for yourself. But choosing the right counsellor for you can be a daunting prospect. The field of counselling and psychotherapy is vast, and it can be difficult to know what kind of therapy, and which practitioner might suit you and your needs best.
At the Banbury Therapy Centre, we offer a free assessment service which will aid this decision, and guide you towards the most appropriate form of support.
Assessments last up to 30 minutes, and can be held face to face, online or by telephone, in a safe and confidential environment by a qualified assessment counsellor. During the appointment, you will be asked a series of practical and personal questions in order for the assessor to gain a broad perspective of what has brought you to seek therapy. The assessor will also discuss with you your financial situation, and talk through our low-cost options should you be a student or on a low income. Suggestions will then be made as to which of our therapists would likely be the most suitable to work with you, and we will then endeavour to put you in touch with your new therapist to organise an initial appointment.

How to find us:
If you are driving, we do not offer parking but there is plenty of pay and display parking. We are placed at the Centre of town. If you’ve parked in the centre of town, you can go up past the shopping centre into Parsons Street to find us.
