Karen Wilson

Integrative Counsellor (Registered Member BACP)

I offer a warm, safe and empathic space where you can talk in full confidence about what is happening for you.

My commitment as a therapist is to empower you to explore problems, feelings and emotions and find a way forward.

I do understand that it can be difficult to start therapy and to manage the emotional impact this journey can have on us and our daily lives as we make progress.

I aim to build a relationship with you based on trust, empathy and attentive listening to support you in bringing about positive change.

As an experienced integrative counsellor, I can draw upon a variety of approaches to help you as we work together. My approach is ‘person-centred’, meaning that my focus is on whatever you feel able to bring and to work in a way that suits you and your individual needs. I am trained and experienced to work with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, grief and bereavement.

I also have an advanced certificate in couples counselling. I specialise in working would couples who are experiencing problems with:

Communication and difference

Meeting each others needs

Affairs, sex and arousal

My usual fees are £65.00 per individual session and £75 for couples for a 50 minute session.

I offer open-ended and short-term counselling in person at the Banbury Therapy Centre or online through Zoom or WhatsApp.

I am available 1 pm - 5 pm on a Monday or 5 pm to 9 pm on a Wednesday (other appointments may be available)
